Living Well With My Multiple Sclerosis: A Self-management Journal

The intent of the journal is to give people living with a diagnosis of MS a tool that
will capture information about their disease course and enable them to self-care

- Ask MS - The ASK MS
database contains a wide variety of print material on
multiple
sclerosis; from research and scientific papers to books and
articles
written by people with MS, there is material available
for anyone from a
neurologist to a layperson. To access this

the
topics in which you are interested. It will be mailed
to you free of charge.

Support and Consultation
Supportive counselling and consultation sessions for persons
with MS and for
family members.
Programs on Progressive Forms of MS
The Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, Manitoba Division offers two unique
educational programs on progressive forms of MS. People with progressive forms of
MS and their caregivers will be able to gain up-to-date and relevant information on
progressive MS, treatments, care, and research.

Self-Help
and Support Groups
Offering individuals the opportunity to share their experience
of living with MS
with other people who also have MS and truly
understand. For more information,
contact Ellen Karr, Client Services Coordinator, at 988-0917.
Group
locations and meeting times
One-on-One
Peer Support
Now offered province-wide!
Peer support volunteers have received training and receive ongoing
support from
the MS Society, enabling them to provide valuable
support to other individuals
living with MS. The MS Society
can provide you with a peer support volunteer who
can meet with
you in person or over the phone. You may choose to make contact
just once or several times over a three-month period. Peer support
matches are
reviewed after three months and can be extended
if individuals wish. Contact

Are you tired of looking at your own four walls? Would you like to add some
companionship and enjoyment to your life? If you would like to join a sociable
group of people for a cup of coffee, a couple of hands of cards, a game of
Scrabble or a friendly chat, this is for you.
The Social Club is now meeting in the Program Room at the MS Society on the
1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month from 10:00 am until noon.
